Yeesh...Probably depends on who you ask, and when you ask it.

 

NBS = New Body Style.

 

When I first got on this forum, that meant 99-02 years, then it gradually shifted into the 04-07's, now it means the GMT-900's...Although some people are calling that the NNBS (New, NEW Body Style).

No, the idea behind the NBS and OBS designations is to distinguish between two body styles on "overlap" years. 1999 was an overlap year, as was 2007.

 

Using either designation on non-overlap years is nonsense. In other words, a 2008 GMT900 is NOT a NBS. It is the ONLY body style.

Obviously, different people have different interpretations. To me, NBS is "new body style" which means the "current" body-style, whichever that one us... for now... 'til GM changes it again and gives people new fender flares or some non-sense to whine and moan about..

 

OBS is anything that isn't the new/current body..
