So, The Best Way To Take Out A Stubborn Garage Door?

Use your chevy and a trusty tow strap...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0l5NWf2URJc

Garage door was basically sealed shut for a pretty long time (guessing 10+ years) and after being backed into so many times (a few by me) we decided to pull it out and fill it in properly...Got the first 2 panels off easily enough then the bottom 2 wouldn't budge so we pried them apart, wrapped a strap around the top panel and I let er rip...Pulled both out and with a few taps of the hammer the last of the hinge finally separated.

So anyone else's day this entertaining?

Eh, there's an office behind the wall, it was sealed in and insulated to make the garage an office area...If I ran into it with the truck I wouldn't have a computer to post it up haha...

Sorry for no audio, was taken from the office security cams.

I think I would have moved that SUV out of the way first.

...and maybe the people, too....

Naaah - It's their own dumb luck for standing right next to it.

Eh, I had the strap set up so it'd pull the opposite way...But yeah it would've really sucked if it hit that TB, only has 4k miles on it haha...5.3L, LT3 with just about every option.

It was coffee haha...He probably would've moved if he knew I planned to gas it a little....

Not too exciting, but since we are talking about garage doors...mine closed on the bed of my truck today...I pulled in, and wasn't gonna be staying long, so I didn't pull all the way in. Wife leaves, and shuts the door. I hear it and run out, just as it starts coming back down. Seems that if it hits something, it goes back up automatically, and she tried to stop it from going down, and and came down again...no damage since it just hit the aftermarket tube rails, but made me nervous to hear it going down.

SEE!!! Those "old man" tube bed rails are good for something. Hear that Umberto?

At least your truck fits in one haha, my truck would be hitting the OUTSIDE of the wall with BOTH tail lights if I had tried to back into the garage...And in my mom's old 2 car garage I could barely squeeze in after my lift and tires (didn't park there, just wanted to see if the truck would've fit in a standard garage, and the answer is BARELY).

And yeah, the vid's a lil boring cause of the angle but it was better looking at the garage door itself, looked like a tin can being opened up.
