why would you trade?

you gaining 100,000 miles... diesel costs more... and gets less mpg..

i think you should keep what you have now.. plus is looks like you already stuck a bunch of money into your truck and you wont get any of that back..

Don't know anything about them, but that is pretty sweet. Not sure if I'd make that trade after all the work you put into your truck...

Pull off those running boards if you get it though!

Yeah, IMO diesel were always know to offer better MPG. It's just faggy regulations that made the price of diesel higher than gasoline.

But yeah, yours looks damn sweet. While the others is... standard.

yea, well its not going to be a straight up trade on it either. Im going to trade my truck for his and hes going to give me 3 to 4 grand. I did all the work to my truck.. diesel will be getting about 4 more mgps then my truck already, plus if you put and exhaust and computer in that diesel, it should crank a crap load more horses out and alot more torque with the gain of some mgps..

diesel gets better than gas? maybe if you baby the hell out of it...

all of the trucks ive ever drove gas seems to get better..

diesel will get alot better if you tow a bunch with it hands down...

Diesels are more efficient, and get better mileage...period

Yeah Riggs

My friends 2006 Duramax 1 ton Dually gets a little better highway mileage than my truck does...

A one ton crew cab dually with ranch hand bumpers, headache rack, and cargo box gets a little better mileage than my half ton regular cab truck...???

so yeah they are better on mpg period

i would rethink about trading or even getting a 6.5L. I had a 96 silverado with the 6.5l and i had nothing but problems with it. i spent 7500 on a used engine with only 45,xxx miles on it and even it had a lot of troubles.

i heard that alot of the 6.5s had troubles but idk. im done with my truck and i want to move on. Its for sale right now for 6500, and i thought it would be a good deal if i could get that diesel and 3 grand. idk its something to think about. its either a 2door tahoe or yukon or a silverado/sierra.

A diesel should definately, truck for truck get better gas mileage. My dads 05 Crew Cab 2500 HD 4X4 gets better mileage and has more power than my 07 1/2 ton Crew 2 wheel drive. Our 92 ford Crew Cab dually got the same mileage as I get now.

As far as the 95 6.5 goes, I have never heard anything good about it. We hauled horses for years, and almost never would you see a GM product at the shows through most of the 90's. Early 90's it almost all dodges, 93 came around and Ford put a turbo on the 7.3 and then came the Power Stroke and Ford started taking over. Not until the 6.6 liter Duramax did you ever see a GM product.

There are quite a few websites with info about the 6.5l. I did a quick yahoo search, its below.

If you do end up trading you should get more than 3 grand back. Just ran a blue book on it and it says that he should be asking $1800. So you could get the ruck for alot less than you originaly thought. Mabe even keep the truck you have now and just buy the youkon.

+1 ....This IS the 6.5 we're talking about ,not the Duramax.

IMO, If anything, keep 'em both. I wouldn't trade that Tahoe for that Yukon.
