Does PIAA have a direct fit replacement bulb or did you upgrade the whole light housing and everything? Wish they would come out with a direct fit replacement, I've heard the Putco ones suck.

It is a complete replacement, I bought the PIAA 540's and then PIAA has mounting kit that puts them in the factory position. Its a very clean look with very minor modifaction.

Ok, lets try this again...

First off, HELLO ALL!!! First post on this forum but have been on many times!

I just installed a new fog light upgrade (GM is retarded) and wanted to post some pics in case someone else is interested in the kit. (I couldn't find any on the interweb) I had the "daddy fog light upgrade" installed but the cheap pigtails from autozone would melt every 3 weeks or so. So I finally broke down and opened my wallet. Very easy install about 30 mins and about 30 mins to aim (should have taken 5 but I'm kind of anal).

Let me know what you guys think!

Very nice...i'm looking to do the same thing on mine...I'm curious how they look turned off in the day light....do you have any pics of that?

Can you remove the plastic grate and just have the lenses exposed? I think that would look much better. IMO, only BIG 4X4's look right with shit written on the lenses.

Nice work though! Something must have been screwy with your pigtails or something because I still have the first set I used working just fine.

Thank you, Yes then can be removed and they are also available in driving lights instead of the Ion's. Im actually going to be lifting it and throwin some 35's under it so thats why I left them on. I'm a hillbilly at heart love the look of lifted trucks, my old ride was a 02 F250 on 38's. Wanted better mpg....

I also went with the Ion's for a new look and didn't want to deal with the pain in the arse of tryin to match my HID's. And idk the pigtails would actually melt and the wires would fall out, just crappy pigtails IMOP. Other wise your upgrade was a bit of genius!!
