Leather After the Fact

I just rode in a friends "Southern Comfort" version C1500 Silverado.

Basically they take a stock Silverado and dress it up with a bunch of crap that I don't care for like ground effects & running boards etc...

This truck had some really comfortable leather seats though.  I understand that there is a place where you can buy a kit that replaces the factory seating.

Anybody have any experience with this?  Or would I be better off just ordering new seats?

some people have classic soft trim leather seats.  I've heard nothing but good things about them.  They are a bit pricey though, I think I heard 1300 for front rear seats.  Another place that I was looking into was shadetreeonline.com they are 800 for the front and rear and no extra charge for embroidery and two tone.  They had a pic on the site of a silverado, it looked good to me.  I'm not sure what company to go with yet.  But, that's fine since I don't have the money anyways.

I priced Classic Soft Trim 1 1/2 years ago for a Honda Odysey Minivan.  They wanted $1500 to do all four captains chairs and the rear bench.  I think that might have included the door trim panels too...

IT'S PROBABLY NOT THE BEST STUFF BUT JC WHITNEY DOES HAVE SOME LEATHER BUCKETS FOR LESS THAN A GRAND.

those only go up to the 99.   The problem is the integrated seat belts in the new chevy's make it difficult to find replacement seats.

Here's a pic of shadetree's leather interior on a silverado w/ bucket seats.  I was thinking of getting these in black w/ silverado embroidered on red.  I'm kind of kicking around the idea of two-tone w/ charcoal on the interior section.  They look good to me though, nice fitting and all.

Jon,

Have you seen the solid leather seats in the Avalanche?  They have a Gold Bowtie embroidered in them.  They are one great looking seat...

Shaners, I've seen those, and they look awesome.  That's where I got the idea for the leather seats w/ silverado embroidered on them.  I figured it will give my truck a unique look, which is what I'm going for.

Paco, I realize black gets hot, but I'm also getting the side windows tinted and I like a nice hot seat when I sit down.  Hey, it'll look good and that's all that matters.  The interior of my truck is dark to begin with.  I figure if it gets that bad I can just pull the covers off for the summer.

Here's the site for Classic Soft trim.

Classic Soft Trim

If you click on the inventory reduction and wait a few minutes for the page to load, you'll see about 1/4 of the way down the page that they have a bunch of reduced items for the 99+ Silverado.

Here is one of their seats...
