Sirius-xm Merger - Did You Lose Your Favorite Channel?

When the new, combined channel update came the other day (for Sirius anyway) most channels stayed the same but some changed. For me, I lost channel 19/Buzzsaw (Classic Hard Rock). They replaced it with AC/DC 24/7. My wife said they took away her favorite country channel.

 

Even on the channels that didn't change, the playlists did. For example, I mostly listen to 20/Octane. Now they're throwing in a few songs from familiar bands but the bad songs. From the "B-side" so to speak. We used to have both Sirius and XM but we dropped XM because they tended to play a lot of bad songs.

 

Did any of your favorite channels change? What did you like about Sirius or XM before the merger, and what do or don't you like about it now?

I subscribed to Sirius for over a year before I switched to XM in the Denali. I like the playlists on Sirius much better than XM, so I'm much happier now that they've merged the channels. I'm really happy that they brought over the Underground Garage but I'm peeved that they still insist on charging extra for Stern. It feels like XM customers are getting shafted.

My morning station, FoxSports is still there. But I lost Squizz, replaced with Octane. So far I'm undecided on Octane.

I probably won't catch up any time soon. I'm only on a couple other boards, and on the most active one I've racked up about 3000 in just under 5 years.

Yeah, currently it's only available as part of the "Best of Sirius" package for $4/month extra.

Yeah one of the first things I noticed as well. According to the website it will remain AC/DC Radio until 01/15/08, which they undoubtedly mean 01/15/09, and then it will go back to Buzzsaw. I mean I like AC/DC and all but non stop? I don't like them quite that much.
