Shipping Tires For Cheap

I went off to college here in AZ with my stock tires and rims and left my good ones back home in TX. It would cost between $150-200 to ship them out here and I don't want to pay that. I'm going home in a week and a half without my truck, so that would be the time to pack them up for moving out here, but I need a cheap method of getting them out here. My truck won't be going home again until May and my truck and I miss those rims and tires. Does anyone have any ideas?

Contact freight services. It'll be slower but cheaper.

I agree. UPS would probably be 40 bucks a wheel at least. Freight company might ship them on a pallet for less.

Fast replies. Thanks guys.

I thought UPS and FedEx were freight. How do I get in contact with and ship through one of these places?

Check the yellow pages in your area. That or Google are about the 2 easiest ways.

These guys are great! http://www.rlcarriers.com/

I have used them a few times. Pretty fast, reliable, and cheap. I sent a set of wheels/tires across the country for 50-70 bucks. I dont remember. Took less then a week too! Click coverage and find your nearest terminal. Good luck!

Call Central Freight lines.

I know they run from Texas to Arizona.

My brother drives for them.

Actually they cover all of the Western half of the US.

From the Mississippi River to the Pacific ocean.

Probably your best bet is to find a buddy if possible that has a truck and goes by your way the only other thing that I could recommend is drive your truck or just spend the money and ship them!

How did you get them shipped that cheap? I just got a quote from their website and it was over $1,000! I probably did something wrong because that can't be right.
