2009 Envoy Hmi

Hi Everyone,

Got a question that may seem dumb, but I just got a 2009 Envoy with the BOSE 6 disk CD changer with AutoTone and RDS. It also has what is called HMI (human machine interface). My question is the steering wheel radio controls what they are calling HMI? The model I got is the SLT 4WD top of the line below the Denali. I wanted to hook up my Ipod but there is no input jack on this thing and no PAL accessory I can find.

Hello J, I don't think the new Envoy's have an port to plug an Ipod or such into.

I have a 2005 Envoy it did not, and I installed a USA Spec unit from Crutchfield and it's awesome....Here's the link:

I really like it. It sounds sooooo good. Read the reviews... You won't be sorry. It was real easy to install if you have any knowledge of auto audio at all. The hardest part was cutting the wire for the XM and tapping it into the new unit. Sounds crazy, but it has to be done. It's not bad. The whole install took 1.5 hrs.
