Cgs Cat-back Install

Just installed the CGS Cat-Back exhaust on my 08 Denali.

It was super easy and a fun hour and fifteen minutes.

The entire factory catback comes off in one really long piece, then you just put on each section of the new CGS system until complete. The weight savings is huge. The gigantic factory muffler is replaced by a beautiful stainless unit that is about a forth the size and so much lighter.

I would have never thought it possible, but my truck definately feels more peppy! The sound is great. Not too far from the pretty good stock 6.2L, 3 1/4" system, but has a louder, throater growl when you step on the gas.

The interesting part is that in the case of the 6.2L engine, the factory uses 3.25" tubing, where the CGS folks found power lower in the RPM band by going to 3.0" tube!

All in all, I'm very pleased with it.

Sound clips, OK, I'll work on it!

Yeah, where's the sound clip!! Oh, and it looks like you "burn out" in your garage sometimes!

Burnout in the garage!!!!! How perposterous!!!!!

Actually, you're correct! I just sold my 525HP Z06 which is wholly responsible for those marks! It wasn't me, I promise. It was the evil influence from that beast that has one always wanting to side step the clutch!

Looks like a nice clean cat-back. 3.25" exhaust! Damn. I wouldn't ever go any bigger than 3" on any gasoline exhaust, but if GM says its healthy then sweet.
