Firestone Destination A/t Question

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. I am going to get a set of new tires soon since the OE ones suck in the snow.

Some installers say the standard "P rated" Firestone is fine, while others say the "C rating" is the way to go, especially if I tow, which i do occasionally. Am I going to get a much worse ride with the C rating?

Which one should I go for?

I'd go with the load range "C" LT tires.

And no,Your ride won't be much worse,as a matter of fact the ride didn't change at all on any of the trucks I've had with LT tires (And I've had load range "C" and "D" tires on 1/2-ton trucks)

+1, I've got P metric revo's and I know the destination a/ts are jsut as good as them, but less expensive (i'll be going with them next time) but I wish I had "C" or even "D" range since I do tow very frequently. "C" rated LT's are only 2 more ply than P metric IIRC, I wouldn't expect it would make much difference. My friend has LT's on his f-150 and it rides stock or better.
