Hypertech Max Energy E-Con Economy Power Programmer for sale. Model 33004 for 2007-2008 GM/Chevy Gasoline Trucks/SUVs 4.8,5.3, or 6.0L. I bought unit new from AutoAnything in July 2008. It comes with all packaging, cables, software, and paperwork just as a new one. I removed programming from truck and sold it, so I have no need for the programmer now. $250.00

I would really like to sell this, if anyone is interested I would let it go for $225.00. If it's not worth that much to someone, I will just give it to my son-in-law.

Yes, I am rather anal about mileage and check it every fill up. My in town mileage went from a consistent 16mpg to 17.2 to 17.5mpg with the programmer. Highway went from 19mpg to 20.5 up to 21(21 was the absolute best I ever got).

So I would say it was a pretty consistent 1.5 mpg gain for my vehicle, which was a loaded 2007 extended cab Z71 with the 5.3L engine.

Does this unit give you any extra power?

Manufacturer claims are plus 12 hp at 5300rpm. I noticed the truck seemed a little snappier on acceleration when you stepped into it. I bought the programmer for economy though not acceleration. I did question Hypertech about the programmer before buying and was told the Hypertech E-con and the Hypertech Power Programmer had the same tuning, that the difference was with the Power Programmer you could adjust some settings (tire size, top speed, etc.) but that you could not with the E-con model.
