I doubt it's true.  I've seen ads for these things for years but have never seen any independent tests proving they are legit.

I was thinking the same thing but at 1.59 for gas I will entertain just about anything.

I figure if it really was all that they would be everywhere, but this was the first time I have heard about them.

I bought one a long time ago for my 280ZX and the diffrence was slim to none I think is was ~$5 there is no way i would pay $40 for a magnet

find your self set of magnets that have the same bore as your fuel line it cannot hurt and it may help 1% but no way 27% u could find this in a small electronic motor

the claim is that the magnetic flux breaks up clumps of fuel so that will attomize better

last i checked fuel was not magnetic  :)

BTW our fuel pump probably creates a magnetic field from its motor

GM is under a lot of presssure to get it's fleet average at or below 27 MPG if it had any merit they would have done it from the factory

I believe this was discussed earlier and on the instructions it gives some tips to increase your mpgs.  That's how you get the 27% increase. I bet I could do that right now, just by keeping the truck under 2000 rpms and not leaving it idle, making fewer trips.  It's all no brainer stuff.  I think it's just a rip off.
