Adding Block Heater In 2000 Sierra...?

I would like to add a block heater to my 2000 5.3 sierra that never had one stock

 

ive seen some threads dealing with the newer trucks/thermostat block heater, but i haven't found any part numbers for adding one in my truck

 

any info appreciated. i would prefer a coolant block heater and not a oil pan pad.

17800530 is the part number for the block heater package.

If you dont want to go to the dealership any parts store should have the Kats brand block heater available, they make them for almost of not every make and model.

Seems to me all the aftermarket OEM kits have good instructions on were to install and which position to install it.>stump

thanks guys, ill get the oem one. list is $36, cant beat that. for some reasons i thought the oem one was a couple hundred but i think that is the one for newer trucks.
