Passenger Seat Removal

I have to remove my front passenger seat to retrieve my wife's wedding ring. It fell down the seat belt anchor sleeve and into the seat track. I have tried everything to get it out and am at the last resort of removing the seat go get it. Can anyone give me a procedure or things to watch for while I am doing the removal? If you have any other suggestions it would be great. I have tried the ol' coat hanger trick for at least an hour. I can hook it but there is no way for it to come out, without falling off of the hook. I am at wits end. HELP!!!!!!

Have you tried a magnet? I have one that I use to retrieve tools that is on a bendable spring. Think I got at Autozone.

I had no trouble removing the seats to recover them in leather on my 07 Classic.....

 

There are two bolts in the front of the seat and two in the rear....the nuts that hold the seat bolted to the floor studs look really goofy and I suspected that I would need a special tool to gt them off.

 

They are a different size....I used two different size deep sockets....I think it was 11mm in the rear and 15 mm in the front, but I a guessing here.

 

I remember the sockets had to fit very square on the nuts.....I am sure there is a special tool for these, bit I have had the seats out twice and never any issues...really straight forward....good luck

Thanks guys!!! I finally got it by taking out the two rear bolts and tilting it forward. My wife would kill me if I would have gotten it out with a magnet. She was standing over my shoulder the whole time. She must have thought I was gonna hawk it for the money it get a few extras for toys for my baby er... I mean my truck!!!
