Hvac Panel Lighting

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted anything. I've been super busy working two jobs that my computer time has been limited. But I have a question.

I've been having trouble with my panel lights. The two bulbs that light the blue/red bars on my HVAC control are burned out and the 1-4 selector buttons on my radio are intermittent. Because they're intermittent it leads me to believe that they're not burned out but that there is some other problem. Any clues? I've read several posts here that talk about soldering in new bulbs, which I plan to do, but could there be another problem? A new HVAC controller from the dealer is $228.00 and I found one at CarQuest for $149.00 which sounds better. But the intermittent radio lights have me confused. Any thoughts?

I'd try to fix the HVAC panel. The radio I would replace, I tried fixing the bulbs in mine, and it was considerably harder than the HVAC panel was. Not saying it can't be done. Being intermittent wouldn't concern me, I had one that was and re-soldering a new bulb in worked fine.

One of my hvac lights on the red and blue bars is out too. I work for a auto parts dealer, I don't know if we stock those hvac controls. If I have time tomorrow I will see how much they are and let you know. I have lights out on the left side of my steering wheel controls too.
