Rancho 4" lift for a 00 Silverado

I'm looking around for prices on a rancho lift for my truck.  So far the best I can come up with is 1274 w/o shocks and 1299 with.  has anyone seen better prices than these.

Also, I want to get a dual front shock hoop, the superlift suspension comes with one for the silverado and rancho makes some, but not for the silverado.  Can a different one be added??? Or does anyone know what can be done for this?

Has anyone installed the rancho lift themselves?

Any info would be appreciated.

The prices on the lift are about right, anything under ? that includes shocks. Why do you want dual front trucks? Your truck is going to be stiff as he!!. Also they don't make a dual rear setup to match. I personally didn't want any welding done to my suspension. But, like vhato said make up your own mind!

The way these lifts aquire the dual shocks is by removing the original shock and not using its mounting point at all !!! They clamp a bracket to the top of the upper a-arm and the new shocks bolt to that. If thats really what you want, more power too you. FYI when I take my truck off road with the Rancho RSX shocks I don't have any problems or need for dual shocks.

Here is a picture of a superlift showing the dual shock clamp.

See right now I can toss these options around for a while becuase I probably won't have the time or money (money being the most important part) to do this for about 6 months.  Right now I'm just trying to figure out what I'll need to do and what to use.  I've been debating the rancho or superlift questions in my head for the last year.

Oh I understand perfectly, you don't have to tell me about money issues, I have a wife and two kids (ages 6 and 15 months) so money is to tight to mention. I saved for my lift for 1-1/2 years before I could comfortably afford it. I was just trying to give you a little insight from what I had learned from my 1-1/2 year long research while saving the money. Anyway I have the Rancho so if there is any questions I can answer (good or bad) feel free to ask.
