Damn...that sucks. Go to a junk yard and pull the gauge cluster out of one thats the same. No?

Did that to my buddy's sisters Saturn. Works like a charm. Only 18 bucks

No, not in the truck, in my wife's 2004 Impala.

Called dealer and I am looking at about $500-600 parts/labor.

F**K!!!!!

Do it yourself and it'll be cheaper?

What a bummer to have this time of year! :dunno: But yeah, DIY. Check the junk yards or price check on GM Parts Direct.

Well you know Jeff a real gentleman would let his wife drive his truck so she would have the benefit of knowing how she was going... :dunno:

She wouldn't even if I offered. She never once even got in the driver's seat of my 2000 in 7-1/2 years. No exaggeration. She did drive my 89 a few times, but that was many years ago now.

LOL! I think my wife has driven mine 2x in 13 mos, the last time my boys said, Wow Dad, Mom hit the street curbs several times while out shopping in your truck"... I went out and checked the rims, which were OK, but geez, the sidewalls looked like you took a steel brush to 'em. She hasn't touched it since. :P

I suppose I'm lucky,my wife hates to drive mine....she has a hell of a time gettin' in it....we have places here where you can go and remove the part yourself called 'Pick-A-Part' & 'U-Pick-Parts',do you have anything like that near you? These places are alot cheaper than an actual wrecking yard.

My wife drives my truck once in a while. When she does it's like she's chasing Mad Max through the Australian outback.

It's a fair trade off because days she is home I take the altima to work and terrorize ricers with their own medicine. :D

Quit whining about it, and get it fixed for her. :P I just now figured out where I've seen those girls in your sig. If I'm not mistaken, the one on the left is Sophie Moon, and the one on the right is Crystal Steele. They make a damn good lezbo movie. :D

If you get a gauge cluster from the salvage yard....Remember that the mileage is stored in the gauge cluster.

I would hate to put a cluster with a TON of miles in a low mileage car.

You can take both clusters to the dealer or a speedometer shop and they can set the mileage on the NEW (salvage) cluster to be the same as the bad cluster.
