Mirror Question And Others...

hey guys, its been awhile but i'm back. I have some questions for you. I have an 04 z-71 ext. cab and noticed my rear view mirror gets extremely dark along with my driver side (when its dimming in the evening). I also noticed that of my two mirrors only the driver side defrosts. does only my driver side dim from the factory? i thought both defrosted and dimmed but i never paid any attention to it while i have had it. Last winter if i used my blinker sometimes it would light up and stick on for a period of time but it hasnt happend to me lately and of course murphys law made it so that when i brought it in it wouldnt do it for the dealer and finally my last question is my seat has like a squeaky spring and it pokes me in the back and makes a popping noise. (i know hard to explain) but it annoys the crap out of me and i really want to know how to fix it. I considered taking it into the chevy dealer and asking them if they could just explain to me how to fix it which often times they are pretty good about when i tell them i just want to save a few bucks. thanks you guys for any help you can give me. PS anyone else hate how the steering wheel lights and climate control lights go out really easily and are SO expensive to fix!

Hi.

 

Both mirrors should defrost. Sounds like the passenger side mirror is not working properly.

In regards to the auto-dimming of the mirrors, only the rear-view mirror and driver's mirror will dim. The passenger mirror will not.
