Need Help Installing Component Speakers In 03 Sierra

I bought some component speakers for my 03 Sierra and I'm having a little trouble. There is a set of wires running to the woofer and a set of wires running to the tweeter. I tried hooking the wires to the crossover every which way I can think of and I can't get any sound to come out of the tweeter. The crossover has an input and an output for the tweeter and woofer. Could someone please explain to me how to hook these speakers up to the crossover?

 

I bought an aftermarket head unit also. Would there be a setting on the head unit that would cause no sound to come out of the tweeter?

If it's wired like mine, you have to run a separate line from the crossover to the tweeters. My stock tweeters were just run in parallel. I have the crossover on the door panel and a separate line going to the a-pillar.

 

Stock speaker wire-crossover

Low to door

High to tweeter

Connect the wires going to the stock midbass to the crossover's inputs, then connect the new midbass and tweeter to the appropriate outputs on the crossover. Leave the wires going to the stock tweeter disconnected.
