I have a 2001 Silverado 2500hd with a factory single disc cd player, and it has a life of its own. it wont stay on and turns off by its self. iwant to change it out but dont want aftermarket. Was wondering if its capable to swap in a factory 6 disc cd player from a newer silvy. just wondering if it possible, any info would be great.

No, the 03+ radios will not work, only the 95-02 radios will be plug-and-play.

 

Why are you against an aftermarket radio?
