Spark Plug Wires

I have a 2004 Gmc Yukon denali with 94,000 in great condition. I changed out the spark plugs about a 100 miles ago. The yukon runs fine but is it worth it or is it a good idea to change the spark plug wires on a 2004 with 94000 miles? Also i have seen wires like Prestolite and Denso both of there specs look good but are a lot cheap than ac delco. Are they good wires as well?

I purchased MTD wires for my Silverado at 110,000 miles and it turned out the old ones were not in very good condition. I think the MTD's are a great wires.

Personally, I put Taylor wires on my truck with E3 plugs, I use Taylor wires on all of my vehicles and i think they are an excellent product,

I would definately change the wires. I wouldn't hesitate spending upwards of $100 for a good set.

where are you guys finding these aftermarket wires? mtd? taylor?

 

My 02 has 120k miles so i think she is overdue for some new wires ?

If you simply want a good set of OE type wires, Prestolite makes a great product. They supply us (CARQUEST) with our premium wires and we never have them come back. However, if you are looking for a performance type wire, I suggest Taylor. American company that uses American materials to build their wires. I have had a set on my Yukon XL for about 2 years and they have been great.

 

I would have been fine with our wires but I wanted them to be red and Prestolite offers only black. Sounds crazy, but I just wanted red wires.

cool, thanks for the info. I'm not expecting much out of the wires for a performance increase, i just want something with oe fit and quality ...
