Any Pool Players Here?

Just curious if anyone else shoots pool for fun or in a league. I shoot in two 8 ball leagues during the winter and a 9 ball league in the summer. For a cue, I use a McDermott that is set at 19oz.

I play for fun. Nothing fancy but I have a table. I am in the process of remodeling my "game" (actual formal dining area) room. The grayish blue is the new color. The old color was red

3 yrs ago my wife (gf at the time) bought me the light pictured and I was like what is this for. She said now you can go and buy your pool table. I got the wrong end of the deal. $100 light vs $2000 pool table hehe

I never played in a league, but I was a pretty avid player in my late teens and 20's. I held my own at the bars and rarely had to buy my own drinks when we shot pool at the bar. Yeah, I had to buy a few too, but I usually came out way ahead. The longest I held a table was 3-1/2 hours straight. Fun night....ahhh, the good ole days.

 

I do have a table in my family room now, but I don't play real often anymore. I'll post up a pic of my table/light later, my wife has the camera with her right now.

I've played pool pretty much my whole life,but not much lately.I'm like Jeff,played alot in my in my younger years.In the 80s I played in a league for a couple of years.Man,that was fun.Traveled all over to different bars,got to look at alot of foxy ladies.

I spent many hours at a bar near where I worked,and like Jeff I could drink all night and rarely bought my own beer.YES,those were the days.Gone but certainly not forgotten.One thing nice my wife always new where to find me...@ Larry's.I think I still have the shirt I wore when I played in the league.Of course it won't fit me now,don't know why.

I have about a 20 minute window between beer #8 and #10 where I could beat Minnesota Fats himself. Before that I'm ok, and after that, I don't care.
