Dark Cherry Metallic Question

I have a question about the purple trucks paint job. I washed my truck the other day, then used the pink showroom shine on it, I think its kinda like a spray-on and wipe-off wax that works awesome because when you spray it on it actually wipes right back off and makes it nice and slick and after I did that I notice that there was gold speckles in the paint. Now the other day at work they were spray painting pipe yellow but I parked my truck on the other side of the building about 50 foot away from where they were painting. My question is, does the paint job have gold speckles or do I have overspray on it?

I haven't personally seen the color up close... But I would think if it's overspray you could feel it with your finger nail.

I think I done tried to feel it with me finger nail but I didnt feel nothing

Mine has blue and gold in the paint.You have to look at it in the sun all cleaned up. There is no yellow in it.

oh ok it probably is just gold. I want to make sure its not any over spray from work because its not cheap to remove over spray

If it were paint drift, like others said, you would feel it. And I wouldn't think the entire truck would be like that. I mean, not uniform, and not everywhere.

 

I would think anybody at a body/paint shop would be able to tell you in about 30 seconds.

The newer colors do have metallic in them. I know the dark cherry looks speckled in the sun as does my blue granite
