Throttle Cable Whine

I have a 2004 Silverado HD. When I first start the truck and for at least 30 minutes thereafter, whenever I have my foot on the gas, there is a high pitched whining sound. If I take my foot off the gas, it stops, then starts again when I give it gas. It's more annoying than anything else.

 

Anyone know why, or have a solution to this problem?

You better check but i think you have drive by wire not a throttle cable. The whine probably is something not related.

You should have DBW.

Not a power sterring whine.

It ONLY happens when giving it gas/foot on pedal. That's why I think it has to do with the throttle/DBW.

Kind of weird. Never heard of this problem from others or with past Chevy's.

 

If there's nothing I can do, I guess I'll just have to live with it.

Is it the overly loud intake sound that the 6.0 makes?
