mhorn0817 Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 welp, i installed the corsa touring catback on my 04 denali....a little dissapointed though...not as loud as i thought it would be, sounds exactly like my stock exhaust...unless its louder on the outside, but i really dont hear much of a difference. i didnt want interior noise and drone which is why i went with corsa but i wanted to atleast hear alittle rumble....nothing....shold i have gotten the sport? i got the exhaust from someone on ebay, had a couple brand new kits, all pieces were brand new, corsa tips, corsa boxs, corsa instructiong and warrenty, so i dont think i got ripped off or anything, but is there anything that reallly makes a corsa exhaust stick out? only thing that said corsa is on the tips. nothing on the mufflers or pipes. also when i installed the system i made sure all pieces were all the way together and tight...but my rear 2 exhaust hanger rubbers arent sticking straight up and down, they are leaned toward the front of the vehicle at about 8 o clock...shold i loosen the ends of the mufflers and bolt it back up so i the rubbers are hangin straight up and down or leave it how it is? thanks for all the help and info in advance
Jennabear Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I just put a touring on my Tahoe. There is not supposed to be any noise in the cab, only when you really get on it. Try driving around with your windows down, chances are that you will notice a bit of a difference. But yes, the sport is a bit more aggressive.
BuckFeverZ Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 A teacher at where I went to HS has the Corsa sport on his '04 Silverado, and I didn't think it was loud at all. Corsa has unbeatable quality, but is just too quiet for me.
mhorn0817 Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 yea i guesss i do hear a little something when i really get on it...think the exhuast will actually make a difference hp and mpg wise? too cold to be having the windows down right now, lol
dlstewart01 Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 yea i guesss i do hear a little something when I really get on it...think the exhuast will actually make a difference hp and mpg wise? too cold to be having the windows down right now, lol I have a Corsa touring and its plenty loud for me when I get on it. The Corsa is designed to be quiet in the cab. It will be much louder out side than you think it is. Get on it in a tunnel or next to a building where it will echo and you will see. But then I don't belong to the crowd that thinks if you don't loose your hearing in less than three weeks its not loud enough. The touring and the sport are both straight through so the performance will be the same. Have a good one, Don
mhorn0817 Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 yea i hit it in a under passage and my wife said she could notice a diffference so im sure there is some type of differnece, i did look thru the muffler before install and it was defaintly straight thru... and comments on the exhaust hanger rubbers situation?

They are pricey, but the quality is impressive...

mhorn0817 Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 start to finish was 2 hours...only because the stock exhuast on denali has to be cut to be removed AND one of the bolts on the exhaust faced upward so i had to grind the clamp off because i couldnt get the nut loose, prob doesnt make much sense unless you look under and see what im talking about
pennzoil29 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 "WTF" a new exhaust without pix and a sound clip.
