Lubing Your Steering Shaft

I know I'm a "Newbie"and the topic is old but has anyone tried to grease the shaft while leaving it in the truck..Cuz I have done it with no problem.Just sepatate it under the hood and sirenge the grease in put the stopper in and pump the upper part 7/8 times to get the grease up to the knuckle.put it together and bob's your uncle.

I don't have an uncle named Bob. Guess I can't use this technique. :rolleyes:
Try this technique as you have the same year truck as i have...saves lots of time.AND best of all you don't need an uncle bob to guide you. :D

GM replaced mine a few years ago. Thanks for the tip, perhaps it'll help others. I know there are several threads about the intermediate steering shaft problem.
