Rear Lift Shackles For Gmt-800

I have been looking at a set of rear lift shackles for my 2005 Sierra Z71 Crew. My plan is simply to crank the front torsion bars 1.5" (maximum) and then do a bit of a lift in the rear. I had considered blocks, but stumbled on an ebay auction for the 1.75" lift shackles. I am planning on installing a BDS 4" or 6" full lift sometime in the next year or so, but it is not in the budget right now and I want a little more height. I'm currently running stock sized BFGoodrich AT's and won't be changing them out for quite some time yet (probably not until the BDS fairy comes).

 

Has anyone used the lift shackles before? Any problems? Info on using shackles on GM trucks is scarce unless you're lowering them. Or should I just throw in some blocks?
