well it iced over the streets here in texas and when going down the road i put my truck in 4wd hi and at about 35 to 40 mph i herd a wining noise. Pretty noticable noise. Is this normal. It does not do it on auto 4wd. Another thing is i went up on a little slope in 2wd and my rear end clunked like 4 times pretty loud. I do have the locking diff. And one more question, when my truck has been setting over night and i turn the ac on i hear a loud clunk. Did they have a recall for this? Any input would be apreciated.

Well the rear end cluncking is probobly the locker. I would check your t case fluid levels that may be the culprate of the winning. Not sure about the a/c clunk.

several things in the drive train can cause a "clunk" my gut tells me it is probably a u joint (you would deffinatly notice this more on the ice) a worn transmission mount or even a worn motor mount will cause a clunk.....but it also could just be the rear diff locking and unlocking
