Xm Question

swapping out a factory cd player to a nav dvd on a 2009 chev silverado with bose.Question is ,is xm part of the headunit or a seperate piece.I have a supscrition and was wondering if i have to change it to the new headunit. THANKS

When I installed a new kenwood 8120, I used the factory antenna, just unplugged it from the stock xm unit under the glove box and plugged it into this XM antenna adapter which connects into the kenwood xm unit, keeps you from having another antenna up on the roof.
