07 Nbs Sierra Z71 Front Bumper Air Deflector Problem

I was recently pulling into my ice/snow covered driveway and accidentally hit a big chunk of ice. It broke my air deflector in to, on the right side. Any body else have any similar issues? What is the cost of the replacement part? I know, be more careful next time. But I have thought ever since I got the NBS Sierra, that the front air deflector was too low.

Just take it off. Many have. The Sierra looks good without it.

If you replace it, that one will probably break too. Better to just remove it and never have to worry about it. Plus it looks better anyways.

I took mine off, then cut 3 more inches off the bumper. SHould have come like that instead of that hideous thing they put on the truck!

bought my truck and pulled the air damn off on the third day. Truck looks way to low with it, plus with a 4x4 I figured it would be long gone in a week or so.

Has anyone ever questioned the purpose of the Air Deflector? Why would GM put even 1 additional piece on a vehicle knowing they could save increase profit by not putting it on?

You could pull several parts off you truck. But would you, considering they have a purpose?

Thanks for all the input guys. I am just going to take it off. Everybody is right. it would in all likeyhood happen again. FWIW, called my dealer, they said $61 for replacement.

flyin6-that is a really good looking mod you done on other lower bumper piece. I was wondering, what did you use to cut it and how did you "finish" the cut edge?
