`700 Club' crew leaves a bad impression

There are some ruffled feathers over this week's interview with Dale Earnhardt Jr. that was represented as an "exclusive."

According to Jade Gurss, a spokesman for Earnhardt Jr.'s team, the driver agreed to speak to a crew from the television program "700 Club" to answer two questions about Dale Beaver of Motor Racing Outreach. Part of the agreement was that Earnhardt Jr. not be asked questions about his late father.

When the interview began, however, Dale Earnhardt became the focus of the questions and Earnhardt Jr. answered them. On top of that, at the end of the interview the crew's producer took out a backpack full of merchandise and asked Earnhardt Jr. to autograph it.

"The experience left us with a bad taste," Gurss said, "made worse by the shameless publicity surrounding the interview."

 

Thats not good press for the 700 Club!
