Come On Ford

Tonight on the way home I passed a white F250 stuck in the sand with pretty latin girls trying to get it unstuck so I decided to give them a hand (only cause they were pretty). People here on vaction always get stuck in the sand so this isn't just a Ford thing. I pull up and notice that only one wheel in the rear is digging not both, so Ford's "HD 4x4" dosn't even have a locking rear end? After some machine gun blast of spanish I take the wheel and try to rock it out in 4 low but the front wheels aren't turning. Turns out it has locking hubs, wtf, I thought we left those in the 80's? Anyway I lock the hubs and back right out, unlock the hubs and send them on their way. But after tonight I am not impressed with Ford's trucks at all, that is just sad. And their truck was completly stock

Jeeps and Dodges have solid front axels and auto hubs, why not Ford?

Ford has auto locking hubs they just do not end up on alot of their trucks. Don't know why... One of my worst off roading experiences was when I forgot to lock the hubs on my 85 Toyota. Got half way into the mud and then had to climb out and wade through the mud to lock them. I will take the auto lockers any day. As for the locking rear diff... I don't know why Ford is so far behind here GM has had full locking rear diffs for ever.

Well if you knew what the hell you were doing, you would've locked in the hubs long before you got to your 4 ft snow drifts!
