First Snow Storm

with the new truck... gotta say... stablitiy traction control sucks azz (think Id rather be fish tailin all over the place, would feel like I got more control!)... AWD is awesome... 4WD even better!

 

Got home backed in the driveway (thats sloped) and decided to shovel out the driveway... as Im doing that the truck rolls ahead about 4ft on all its own and stops.... is it possessed???? guess I spun a bit backing up and turned the snow to ice so it slipped down the slope, emergency brake is getting a good work out now!

Thats ok, I was delivering some doors in a 2 ton box truck, got out after backing up the driveway and hop in the back to upload and i go for a ride down the hill, good thing my partner was still on the ground and could hop in and control the truck.

You have a sloped driveway, and didn't use the parking brake...?

Then turn it off, and fishtail all you want.

I had a 69 chevy truck with a 3 speed in it. I parked it at a friends house in his driveway.It was a good size hill and i put it in first , the emergency brake wasn't working. We were inside and we could hear horns outside. Went out side and there is the old chevy sitting in the middle of the road. It was still in gear it had just turned the motor over and kept creeping down the hill real slow. Oh ya this was on dry pavement.

Well the truck i was in that went down the driveway was in park and it was because there was a nice amount of ICE on the drive and it just took off like a rocket.

I never use my parking brake i just leave it in gear and for the sliding problem leave it in 4wd.

This is the first its happened in the driveway with any vehicle... when I saw it start rolling all I could think was 'OH this should be cute' lol
