Clunking Noise And Hvac Damper Noise

Recommended Posts

I have two different issues I'm trying to find an answer for but I'm not sure what to do a search for.

The 1st is the clunking noise I hear coming from the engine bay when I'm at a stop (might do it while I'm drive but I just can't hear it). It is pretty constant like every 30-45seconds and it is clunking on and off type sound. Could this be the A/C compressor? If so is this normal? It is cold out so I have not had the A/C on in my trucks for months!

The 2nd is the ticking sound coming from under the dash, and as I under stand from reading other post is the damper doors under the dash. It use to only make this sound if I had the HVAC control set to the frond window defroster, but now it makes the ticking sound on any of the airflow settings when it is making this noise, but it does not always do it. Would pulling the fuse to do a damper reset be a fix for this?

Thanks.
