Gm Headrest Dual Dvd Question - Does It Have Sound?

I'm looking at the GM DVD headrest system #19158541 for an 08 Sierra Crew. Does anyone know if these have sound? I know they have an FM Transmitter and also the wireless headphones, but it doesn't say anywhere if they have actual sound out of the units.

They do have a headphone jack on them to use regular headphone instead of the wireless ones. But they don't have speakers. With the FM transmitter you should be able to tune your radio to one of the channels and have regular audio through, though the quality may suck.

Thanks. My kids hate the headphones and are too little to reason with, 4 and 3. I also like to listen to the radio with the front speakers while the kids watch/listen to their DVD. Oh well, myron and davis unit it is....

I have a similar issue. My daughter is going to be 3 in June and I know won't keep the headphones on. I've been pondering solutions to have a pair of little speakers around her car seat so she can hear what is playing without having to use the head phones.

That's not a bad idea and wouldn't be too difficult to wire a cheap small set into the seat even if you wanted to keep it sleek. But since I haven't bought any yet and the set out of my last vehicle has been installed in my wife's van, they Myron and Davis ones have speakers built in.

 

Thanks for you help, just saved me being really pissed off when I would have bought and installed them to learn their was no speakers.
