Not A Truck But Gm Nonetheless

I got a 1993 cavalier that has been in the family since it was new. It recently crossed over 190,000 miles and lately it has been giving off a strong fuel vapor (smell) at startup. It does not matter that if it is cold or hot, it just does it. The last couple of days I noticed it smell while idling at a stop light but when that happens, it is very faint and nearly indetectible. I am looking for thoughts and input as to correct this problem. I believe that it could be fuel pressure regulator or maybe a cracked fuel injector.

Vehicle Specs:

Year/Make/Model: 1993 CHEVROLET CAVALIER VL

Body Style: SEDAN 4 DR

Engine Type: 2.2L L4 TBI OHV 8V

Transmission: 3 Speed Auto (3T40)

Manufactured In: UNITED STATES

Thanks for any input....

On my old truck, I had thought for years that I had a small leak in the gas tank because I would slightly smell gas. Until one day I was sniffing around and realized it was my gas cap..

Appreciate the input, this weekend I will start checking each item and pray that this does not get costly.
