Difference In "hd" Suspension And Stock Suspension

Just wanted to know what the difference was between the "HD" suspension and the stock suspension on the 1500's. I've posted here before about my ride being crappy and my 07 silverado had the HD and rode alot better then my 08 Sierra. Actually winded up bringing it to the dealer and had them test drive it but they said it was fine.

 

Another question, does anyone ride around with weight in the back to help out the ride?
