There's a bunch of guys here that have used it...  I think Mervz (the site Administrator) has something like 7-8 coats on his ZR2

ooooo, shiny *paco hits his head on his own reflection*

i haven't seen that stuff in any stores near me, but if i find it i will buy some, looks like it does a great job

I was interested in that stuff until I saw the price of it, upwards of 80 bucks.  Thats a bit steep for my blood, especially since a wax job don't last all that long anyway.

Paco-You can't find it in stores.

JP- This isn't "wax". So it won't wear away like wax will. Its pure sythnetic polish. One coat will last over 6 months.

I may be in the minority but I think "Zaino" is over-rated

I fell for all the hype and spent the $80. Don't get me wrong my truck looks good, but I got the same results using "Meguiars", not only that Meguiars are 1/3 cheaper

Meguiars is a wax!!! Doesn't have as good of UV protection, and will not continue to get glossier with each coat like Zaino.  And it is certianly eaiser to use than Meguiars.

As far as spending $80, unless you are going to show your truck all you need it the wash Z-7, pre-polish Z-1 and the basic polish Z-2 (for clearcoat) about $30. That is all I use.

If you did not wash your truck with Dawn dishwashing liquid before you started using Zaino it did not work right. Zaino must have a unwaxed surface so it can bond with the clearcoat.

What I was meaning was the truck doesn't stay all nice and clean ever.  It always has some mud on it, gave up washing it since it'll just get dirty that afternoon.  I just can't see myself spending 80 bucks for something that I am never going to get to see.

Zaino can not be found in stores. It says it right at the Zaino site. It is much different than wax. It is a polish. Wax melts off your vehicle within a couple days if it gets anywhere around 70 degrees or higher. Zaino polish supposedly never comes off. I have gone through the winter here in Minnesota and all through the summer so far since my last coat of Zaino. I can park next to any brand new black truck and mine outshines and looks deeper black than any of them. Yes it is spendy, but if you want your vehicle to look better than the next and you are willing to spend the time polishing, it is the best stuff there is. Just ask the guys at LS1.com or anyone here who has tried it. The best feature is that it stays on and you can just wash and go if you want and it still looks good.

Myself, I'm going for a white or red truck next, cuz I am tired of washing my truck so often. But, I'm sure we can all agree, there is nothing better than a shiny black truck.

I have used Zaino for several years now on several vehicles. There is no product that is comparable. I don't agree that it is all that expensive. You actually use such a thin coat when you re-do Z-2 or Z-5 that you can have it for years. If you really care about your finish, you'll invest in Zaino. If you think that you are going to need $80. worth of product you are very misinformed!
