Overloaded Did I Do Any Damage

I have an 07 NBS 5.3L CC Z71 with 3.73 gears and tow package. I also have firestone air springs on the rear. Well I picked up a load of ceramic tile on a pallet. The tile salesman who loaded it said it weighed about 1500 lbs, so I had him load it. It squated the truck but I figured since I only had about 10 miles to go it would be okay. I did not drive over 50 mph, I used 3rd gear and Tow Hual mode. The pallet had 30 boxes of tile on it which after I unloaded it I learned each box weighed 77 lbs which turns out to be 2310 lbs plus another 150 pounds of grout and versa bond. Did I do any damage? Has anyone hualed more than this in a 1500 truck? I looked under the truck for frame cracks or cracks in the bed but found none. What is the payload on these trucks?

Thanks

No, your truck is irreparably damaged. The only thing you can do now is trade with me, and I'll "manage" with that broken vehicle.

When we moved, my mom had canned foods in jars that we loaded up in her 01 sub and the tires were almost touching the wells and it is still going. YOUR O-K

While I wouldn't recommend it on a regular basis, I have carried a great deal more than that a few times without any problems. (cinder block, mortar, mortar sand, rebar)

I would be wary of your tires though. I have had to replace a blown out LT tire on a truck filled/overloaded with horse manure.

It really sucked having to dig underneath the truck to get the spare out, and borrow a floor jack from a tire dealer (5 ton) to be able to lift the truck.

Good lord no.... As mentioned, your tires are the weakest link. I've loaded FAR more than that on a 1/2 ton pickup without issue.

The trucks Tough!

The weakest link in a truck suspension is the tires. Unless something feels wrong I would not sweat it at all.

Not on my truck.

(actually, I am not all that happy with my Load E range Nittos. Too heavy and stiff, I am going back to BFG's next time).

You should be fine i mean its not like its a new dodge ram with its coilspring rear suspension and a payload capacity of 960 lbs. Wich i think is funny becuse my sonoma has one of 1901.

I think the manufacturers know all truck owners overload their vehicles and they build-in enough capacity so we won't ruin them if we do that once in a while. I was getting topsoil once with my Toyota 4x4 truck (load capacity 1350 lbs) and the kid running the loader dumped a full scoop into it. It overflowed the bed on all sides, and the truck jumped up and down like in the commercials. Had about 1/2 rear tire clerance. I scaled out with 2,240 lbs of dirt in that little truck. That was about 200,000 miles ago. No sweat.
