Buying Advice On 2000 Z71

I found this (hi mileage) truck for 7500 CAD and need advice what to look for at this type of truck, any input appreciated.

2000 CHEV SILVERADO 4X4 1500 Z-71 Extended cab short-box, 4-door, 5.3 A.T. electric shift 4X4. Almost fully loaded with power windows, locks, power & heated mirrors, buckets, dark tint windows, heated rear window, centre & overhead console, compass, temp gauge, factory anti-theft stereo-C.D., factory alarm & keyless entry, remote start, limited slip rear end, tow package, almost new tires, beautiful pewter exterior with no rust & almost mint charcoal interior, extra clean. Truck has 285,000 km, is safetied, runs and drives excellent. Well serviced and always been plugged in. $7500

mmmkay....

Ok I probably have to look after the transmission. Or oil underneath the oil pan and tranny. But is there anything special I have to look for in that model year? Known issues?

good point...also get a car fax...but i didn't run the KBB numbers or anything...but due to the economy...I am thinking you can do better then the current price they are asking for.

Cold start knocking, steering shaft clunk(theres a fix for this). Also the famous 1-2 clunk and when starting and stopping. Theres alot of info for this if you do a search. Good luck, those are great trucks.
