?'s About Sierra Denali/c3

I don't own a truck yet, but I've seen a few C3's for sale over the past few months. Mileage is anywhere from 100k-180k on them. I've done some research and know what they are, etc., but my questions are more about real world experience. How reliable are they? Problems with the AWD? I've seen mpg numbers from 12-16/14-20. Is the 6.0 capable of such good numbers (on the high end of what I've seen)? The info was on the internet, so it must be true, right? lol The ads I've seen seem priced in the same ballpark as 4x4 ext cab trucks of the same year. In fact, I saw a classified on vehix for a 2002 Sierra Denali for 10k, I think the mileage was in the 130k range. Saw a C3 with 100k, asking $9k. Another C3 with 182k miles, asking $4,500.

I wouldn't hesitate to get one for that price. That drive by cable 6.0L really wakes up with a tune. :D

I shouldn't say this but, I'm looking for a denali myself. I'm bored with my truck and want leather, and more power without buying brand new. I have my eye on a quadra-steer denali...

The C3s and SDs are great trucks. I miss the AWD and Quadrasteer on mine. If you want to learn more about C3s and Denalis, visit www.DenaliTrucks.com. Lots of good information and knowledgable folks over there. There are a few GM-TC members over there too.

One DT member is selling his Denali, I think it was an 05 with 12k miles.

I owned a Sierra Denali and it was a GREAT truck. I hated to let it go but my son's were just too tall to travel in the back of an extended cab. Now I have a GMC crew and it's also great. I've never had to take my GMC's back to the dealer after I purchased them for any service issues. The Sierra Denali's are powerful and nice and the quadrasteer was a hoot. People would stop and watch the back of the truck when I made turns through parking lots.

I'm looking for a denali myself. I see a lot of 08's with the 6.2 and mileage of 20k or less for 28k so maybe if i can get them down to 25k or wait and see what gas prices do this summer would be a good time to buy?

I've heard the 07 and up NBS trucks ride better and seem more solid than the previous versions. This is my deciding factor and the 6.2 6 speed for spending more on a 07 instead of getting an older Denali for 10 - 14k. Although that does sound tempting.

Can you get the credit union finance discount on a used 07 - 08? Or does it have to be new?
