Cleaning Yellow Headlights?

The headlights on my 98 Silverado are yellowish looking and don't put out a lot of light. I heard there was a way to get this stuff off and make them clear again without buying new ones! Any ideas?

I've used it on my saturn SL1 (which are rather notorious for headlight lenses that fog up / oxidize), just takes a bit of elbow grease. It acts like a real fine sanding medium. Could be worth a try on your yellow lenses.

My wife took her Altima to get her headlight buffed out at walmart the other day while shopping. The tops of the lights were starting to oxidize. The oxidation is now gone, but the entire light now looks cloudy/hazy. I think they actually look worse now than they did before, and she paid $45 for that crap. Upon close inspection, it looks like they wet sanded them, but didn't buff them very well afterwards. I'm gonna try some sort of plastic polish and see if that helps clear them up a bit better.

Sounds like you should also try getting some of your money back. I hate a half-assed job.
