Engine Cleanup

So I have an 08 Silverado 5.3L 4x2. The bracket that holds the alternator and power steering pump on looks gruesome. It looks like it was forged and they never bothered to try to even clean up all the edges. Has anyone taken that bad boy off and cleaned up all those imperfections? I don't know why, but it's driving me crazy. Dirty truck, don't care that much, the engine bay looks a little messy, makes me twitchy. That wonderful grounding strap from the firewall to the hood was cut too short or something and rubbed every time the hood was opened, so I removed it. Those little things. When the AEM intake gets a CARB EO I'm putting that in to clean up that horrible intake. Well, I've been rambling. So has anyone removed that bracket and cleaned it up? If so, any pointers? If not, I guess it'll be time for write-up number 2. Thanks.
