Xm Trying To Screw Me

I purchased a new 2009 Yukon hybrid and it came with the standard 3 month xm trial however I noticed on gm website there was a special where you get 3 years free so I called walked them through where you can find it on the site and they verified and applied it. I called back a few times and they kept changing their minds back and forth then finally they said it was not entitled because there is no way they would do something like that. Then they told me it's no longer on the site and of course i told them the promo is over however they have given me a hard time making me prove it to them but they would not consult the rep that saw it on the site and added it.

 

Please help. I am thinking of looking for higher up's email address to email or call because this is crazy they refuse to verify with the rep and have been giving me a run around I spent over 2 hrs on the phone with them and they just kept saying sir we cannot do that it's not possible I finally got fustrated and said just have the general manger call me back. I even called GM and everyone seems clueless and I know i saw this deal the rep saw it too.

XM out to screw you? Nah. Maybe it was a typo? Pretty big typo if it was. Did you capture the web page by any chance? As far as quitting XM, I did about a month ago, and they did not try anything to keep me. They said fine. They did not even try to sell me any equipment, like a home radio.

Dang, I cancelled about a year and a half ago on my last car and they tried for a good 20 minutes to keep me. Offering me better and better deals each time. Maybe with the near bankrupcy they've stopped that.

Onstar did the same with me. They must have a book of stuff to ask. I told them in 1 yr I drove 5K miles so I do not need it. They said do you park in a garage i said yea then silence then they said did you consult with your insurance you may be receiving a discount because of onstar I said no I am not just remove me please.

It was obviously a typo, and should have been 3 months not 3 years. Why waste your time trying to force them to honor a mistake?

^^ I agree, besides they are only now offering 2 years of xm with a new vehicle purchase. at least in canada anyays.

You guys are not understanding. It was not a typo. This was a promo that they applied to my account because it was valid (it's been done for infinity and other car makers) this was something offered by GM as a bonus to people who purchased a hybrid and now they are telling me I cannot get it because the link is no longer there. (they have refused to verify with the rep that made the addation because he saw it) They lie while on the phone all the time. They even went as far as to say the proof is on me when I provide the proof they say well it's over now so we can't go back and honor it. It was on my account during the promotion they are just trying to make me give up.

I just canceled my XM on friday. Took me a good 30 minutes on the phone to get it done too. I wasn't canceling because i didnt like the service either, it was because its a company vehicle and im leaving the company for a new job.

 

I explained on the phone i wasn't canceling because i didnt like the xm but only because i would be getting a new vehicle and wasn't sure if it would have xm or not. they offered to send me a free xm radio unit that i could then put in any vehicle. i declined because im 99% sure my new truck will be GM.

 

They really hate to lose a customer though, thats for sure.

That's because they do not have many customers left, it took them 6 months to figure out that i was not going to pay their idiot a@@es and finally shut my service off after calling 6 months before and told them i was done after the last 3 month block of time i bought. The morons forgot to disconnect my service and then tried billing me for it about 4 times before they got the picture that they were not going to get another nickle out of me so they finally shut it off and stopped sending bills.

 

What a waste of money it is, completely repetitive play list for a service that talks about variety, yeah as long as you like what they like! Ill stick to free radio which funny enough has less commercials then the supposed commercial free radio of xm.
