So I had some time yesterday to play around with the floor jack.. I used it to raise my truck to where a leveling kit would just to see how I liked it..

Yeah.. It is time to order!

And now, the pics!

I'm not sure if I want to go the full 2" or not since I am not going to upgrade my tire size, but I definitely like the look! It's amazing how an inch or two in height can make such a difference in the look and stance of the truck!

I too plan on getting a leveling kit, I think I'm going with the ReadyLift 2.25" kit and I'm leaving the stock tires on. I don't want to go larger and have to deal with reprogramming for now.

I'm staying stock because I do A LOT of highway driving and want to get the best fuel economy I can. I put 31,000 miles on my truck in a year, so I need all the help I can get! I went back stock size when I replaced the Goodyears a month ago for this reason. Funny thing is my speedometer is 1 mph behind according to my GPS, and that was with the original tires!

Mileage has something to do with it for me as well. My 07 was 1 mph slow compared to the GPS from the factory. My 08 was closer to the GPS reading, it's slightly off now from the tires wearing.

But after looking at the Rough Country kit, I've changed my vote to that. Easier, cheaper, good times.

Go the full 2". The OEM sized tires will look fine on there.

Ya, the front measures almost exactly 2" lower than the rear, so that was my plan. Like many others, I hate the rake. Looking at the rear and how those tires fit in there (the 245/70R17) I don't think it will look bad at all.

They're actually 265s, but I do agree that they look alright. I think I'm just used to bigger tires since I have always run bigger ones on my old trucks.. Guess you gotta grow up and be practical at some point!

I'm definitely ready to get it leveled though!

I just ordered the RC 2" kit! I can't stinkin' wait!

Keep pacing back and forth. It'll get there faster that way. :dunno:
