Need Help....speaker Is Staying On

i have a 2007 extended cab z71 silverado. the back left speaker is staying on. all that is coming through it is distorsion. what do i do? it is staying on without the keys in it and when i hit it it will go off for a few seconds then turn back on. need help please!!!!!

I'd chek the speaker connection at the speaker and headunit. Might also pop up the door sills and have a look see for pinched wires.

 

More details may help too, GMT-900 or 800 (GMT-900=Current Body Style), radio type, bose or no bose, any aftermarket items...
