09 Silverado Work Truck

Hello everybody,

Brand new to this site. I've been a gm truck owner for a long time. Here's a quick history:

02 sierra 1500 ext cab 4x4, sle (purschased)

03 sierra 1500 ext cab 4x4, sle, with quadrasteer (purchased)

05 chev suburban 1500, lt (leased)

07 silverado 1500 ext cab 4x4, ls (leased)

09 silverado 1500 ext cab 4x4, w/t (purchased)

probably not necessary to share this but at least tells you a little about me. Anyway, I just purschased the 09 silverado and like everything about it - except for the front end. Has anybody w/ a work truck changed the look of the front. perhaps colored end caps or chrome grill? painted? so far I could not locate anything on the internet.

Hey there and welcome to GM Trucks!

There are lots of after market options for grills out there. I don't think that it's factor that the truck is a work truck.

Keep an eye out in the for sale section. People that switch to painted grilles instead of chrome tend to list them for sale. Maybe somebody that has one will chime in here. Painting the bumper, end caps, and grille are also an option. Many have done so.

Welcome to the ZOO!

Hi and Welcome to GMT, I have a W/T with the LS package and it came with a chrome grille, bumper and painted end caps. Is this what you are looking for? If so like others said Ebay is a good source or another site is called CarStuff.com. A picture of what you have today would help us help you.

I've been trying on e-bay. You can always find the alu billut or chrome inserts but I think need something more. Maybe if i could hook up w/ some end caps (silver birch) then I could get by with the grill inserts. JUst too much black going on up front. I should have just bought an LS but I could not resist this deal off the lot! Attached is a photo - sorry I did not get one of the front but you can see the black end cap. Imagine the entire front of the truck , grill, bumper, etc

thanks for your inputs....

Looks good from the side, did you order the aluminum rims?

If I were you I would buy the Silver Birch Fog Light Kit from the following site: http://newgmparts.com/partlocator/index.cf...p;siteid=213815 I think the part number you want is Silver Birch GM P/N 19170444. This way you get a complete fog light kit, 2 fog lights, New switch, 2 painted to match end caps, wiring harness and a printed copy of detailed instructions. All for under $285 with shipping. It will probably cost you $200 alone just to get your current one's removed and painted.

As far as the grill goes, just keep checking this site and Ebay for a deal...
