I have 2 bugshields. Both are GM Accessory. One is smoked and one is chrome. Both are used but in good condition.

They are both for 2007+ (GMT900) GMC Sierra's.

Price: One case of Michelob Golden Light each.

No, I will not ship these, so if you are in the area and want one. Let me know when and bring me some beer and it's yours. :D

I like it, a beer-for-bugshields exchange program!

That's a helluva good deal, you should have no problem finding a new home (or hood) for them.

You ever consider color matching that smoked one? I bet that wouldn't look half bad.

Colormatched ones are typically painted on the inside. I asked about this and the cost/risk factor is too high. I even asked if GM made a clear one I could have painted, but no such luck.

Just FYI. We (Star Customs) have painted tons of smoked bug shields to match over the years. Never had any customer complaints. With the correct flex agent in the paint, chipping isn't a problem. It's basically mixed like the paint used on the bumper fillers.

I'd think it would look pretty good and you wouldn't have to do the 3M clear stuff. Just an idea.

Good point. When I asked about this, I was asking about painting the chrome one, which is a stiffer/more rigid plastic.

I will have to re-investigate this. But if it costs as much as a 3M Invisishield, I will just go with that. The 3M Invisishield was quoted at $200. I am going to look into doing it myself though too.

Ya know, GM isn't the only manufacturer of bug shields.

The ones I would consider they are. I do NOT want one that covers the upper strip of my grille (the part that is attached to the hood). ALL of the aftermarket ones I have seen cover this up and IMO it looks stupid.

I considered doing it on mine... but the upper chrome portion of the grille would basically disappear (covered by the bug shield) on the model I looked at. Not sure if that is the same wioth yours.

Gotta run! They have started the fire down on the beach!

This might just be a long and crazy night! See you guys tomorrow!

I'll take one, I live in Rochester, but will be driving through the Cities next Friday (the 10th). I don't know which one I want yet. My truck is Sport Red metallic. I think the smoke will look best.

You can choose when you get here and decide which one looks best. Or just bring 2 cases of beer and take them both. Then you'll have options to switch it up. :dunno:

PM me and we can make arrangements.
