Does anyone here have a schematic of the air conditioning system. I have a busted coolant connector that attaches to the top of the engines manifold, next to the distributor and was wondering if there is any other parts to this connector. any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum

The connector in question is the one that always breaks on 400s. You can get it at any parts store. It should just be the connector and the quick connect that comes with it.

It is just a connector, they ALL wear out and fail. Then when you try to thread it out it breaks off and leaves just the threads in the manifold for you to fight with!! PITA!! You will probably need an angle drill (for clearance) to drill out the theads and pick out the remaining material, at least thats what I have done in the past.

Good luck!!

Welcome aboard  That fitting is another one of GM's great idea's. Have faith, you'll get it out.

The remnants of that plug that are stuck in the manifold are about 100 times easier to drill out/clean out if you just take the intake manifold off and set it on a bench.

Very true!!! No special tools required this way, just gaskets. Which are known to fail also, so just do the whole job at one shot.

Thanks for all the information regarding my problem, I got alot of work ahead of me.

Nah...Pulling the intake manifold is about 100 times easier than it sounds.

+1 and if your intake gaskets haven't been replaced, they are due. That vintage had intake gasket issues as well.
