Radiator Fin Protection

Anyone know of or make something to protect the fins on the radiator, trans cooler, A/C condenser, power steering cooler? I took a close look at the fins and there are a good amount that are flat. I'm going to straighten them out and want to prevent this in the furture. I was thinking of getting some fine stainless mesh, something like this http://www.twpinc.com/twpinc/control/categ...ry_id=TWPCAT_12 and mounting it behind the grill to prevent future fin flattening.

 

If anyone has any ideas, would love to hear/see them. I see a lot of companies that sell protectors for motorcycles. I'm thinking of using something like 1/8" mesh, would prevent rocks that get through the grill from reaching the different radiators but wouldn't block the air flow much. If I use stainless I won't have to deal with it rusting, and it should be pretty strong.
